Open Call for the EULAS Blog, Summer 2026: Your Voice, Across the Atlantic

21/05/26, 10:00

A call for blog articles from Masters students in International Relations, Security & Development or Public Policy

Are you part of the 2025–2026 IBEI cohort finishing a Master's in International Relations, Security or Development this summer? Do you have something to say about Latin America–Europe (LAC-EU) relations that you would like to see published?

The EULAS Network invites emerging academics and policymakers to submit a blog article for publication on the EULAS Network Blog. We are an international academic initiative of 24 prestigious institutions across Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, dedicated to promoting dialogue, cooperation and mutual understanding between these regions.

This is your chance to publish alongside some of the field's leading voices. We will select the top three submissions for publication in July 2026, appearing alongside work by experts such as Detlef Nolte, Anna Ayuso, Benedicte Bull, Cintia Quiliconi, Amalia Stuhldreher, and many more.

Topic areas: Whether you write like a policy analyst, an essayist, or somewhere in between, we don't mind, as long as your piece relates to Latin America and European relations. For example, you could consider writing a piece related to:

  • EU–Mercosur & trade

  • Security & defence

  • Green transition & environment

  • Development cooperation

  • Migration & mobility

  • Geopolitics & multipolarity

  • Democracy & human rights

  • Critical minerals & energy

  • CELAC–EU relations

  • Digital governance

  • Culture, identity & soft power

  • Social inequality & poverty

  • Health systems & global health

  • Gender & care economies

Your published piece is yours to use freely - on your CV, in job applications and PhD proposals. We will translate it into English, Spanish and Portuguese, and amplify it across our social media and bi-monthly newsletter, reaching over 1,000 professionals working in EU–LAC relations, cooperation and foreign policy.
